The Mosquito Backpack Vacuum. Where it all got started.
We believe a great vacuum should fit the way you clean. From everyday cleaning in your home or office to busy commercial spaces and demanding construction cleanup, our backpacks offer options that help you get the job done your way.
There’s more to choosing a backpack than you may think. Your motor, vacuum size, lid, hose style, and tool kit all play a part in how your machine works for you.
Understanding those differences helps you choose with confidence.
Let us show you what makes Mosquito backpacks stand out. We’ll walk you through the options, explain what each brings to your cleaning routine, and help you find the right combination for your needs.
With 7-year coverage on the motor and pigtail and a lifetime warranty on the body, lid, and switch, our warranty speaks for itself.
Choose the right backpack vacuum to deliver the performance you need for the way you clean.
From choosing your backpack to keeping it running, our knowledgeable, USA-based team is here to help—give us a call, and a real person will answer right away.
The main difference between our Super, Carbon-Lite, and Construction backpacks is the motor inside.
Our backpacks are named after their motor configuration. The Super Backpack Vacuum uses the Super motor, the Carbon-Lite Backpack Vacuum uses the Carbon-Lite Pulse Power™ motor, and the Construction Backpack Vacuum uses the Construction Torque Master motor. Knowing that makes it easier to understand our lineup and choose the right machine.
Each motor brings something different to the job. Start by thinking about what you’ll be picking up and the environments you’ll be cleaning, then choose the motor that best fits your work.

Your Everyday Cleaning Workhorse
The Super motor delivers 152 CFM of airflow and 88 inches of lift, giving you a strong combination of airflow and suction for everyday carpet, hard floor, and general cleaning.
With the highest airflow of the Super and Construction motors, the Super moves a large volume of air through the vacuum to carry dirt and debris into the collection bag. It’s a versatile choice for homes, offices, schools, hotels, and busy commercial spaces where you clean a variety of surfaces throughout the day.
Whether you’re picking up crumbs, tracked-in dirt, or dust from carpet and hard floors, the Super provides dependable performance for your regular cleaning routine. If your work centers on everyday messes, this motor is a great place to start.
Like all our backpack motors, the Super includes thermal shut-off protection to shut the motor off if it overheats.
More Suction for a Deeper Clean
The Carbon-Lite Pulse Power™ motor delivers 121 inches of lift, the highest suction lift of our three motor options. That’s 33 more inches of lift than the Super motor, giving you extra suction power when a deeper clean is your priority.
Dirt doesn’t always stay on the surface. In homes, offices, and high-traffic commercial spaces, everyday foot traffic can work dirt and debris into carpet fibers. The Carbon-Lite’s stronger suction helps lift that embedded dirt, making it an excellent choice for thorough carpet cleaning while also handling everyday hard floor cleanup.
If you want extra pickup power to help clean beyond what you can see, the Carbon-Lite offers a meaningful step up in suction. Pair it with the right floor tool for your surfaces to get the most from your setup.
Like all our backpack motors, the Carbon-Lite includes thermal shut-off protection.
A Motor Built For Ingesting Fine Particles
The Construction Torque Master motor delivers 129 CFM of airflow and 115 inches of lift, with a specialized two-stage design built for floor sanding, drywall dust, and construction cleanup.
Fine particles pack tightly into the collection bag and load the filters, restricting airflow and making the motor work under more demanding conditions. The Torque Master is designed with those challenges in mind.
It features one-third more motor windings, allowing it to run at lower revolutions while delivering more power. An additional fan, known as the second stage, creates greater suction lift to help keep air moving as the bag becomes compacted with fine particles.
That combination helps the motor handle the heat and reduced airflow associated with this type of cleanup, making it an excellent choice for work that goes beyond everyday dirt and debris.

Our Standard setup connects the hose to the lid at a 45-degree angle, giving dirt and debris a more gradual turn into the HEPA paper bag. Compared with a tighter 90-degree bend, this gentler angle gives longer and larger items more room to pass through without clogging.
The hose attaches securely to the lid, creating a tight seal that helps preserve suction. This makes the Standard setup a dependable choice for everyday carpet, hard floor, and general cleaning, especially when performance is your priority.

Our top choice for performance, the Carbon-Lite Never-Clog hose begins at 1½ inches in diameter and gradually widens until it reaches the lid. It connects at a 45-degree angle, creating a 3-inch-diameter opening that gives debris a spacious path into the HEPA paper bag.
This tapered design allows straws, pencils, sticky popcorn, and other everyday debris to travel through without getting caught at a tight bend or narrow lid opening. That’s what makes it our Never-Clog hose.
If fewer clogs and dependable cleaning performance are your priorities, the Carbon-Lite Never-Clog Lid and Hose is our recommended setup.

The 90 Degree Slip Fit setup offers convenient swivel movement, allowing you to move the hose freely between your right and left hands as you clean.
It’s a great fit for everyday dust and smaller debris, especially if you enjoy switching hands while working. For the best experience, avoid longer items, such as straws and pencils, that may catch at the 90-degree bend and cause a clog.
If easy hose movement is your priority, this setup offers flexibility for your cleaning routine.

Designed for both right- and left-handed users, our lids feature a hand-grip insert to help you hold the lid securely when attaching it to your backpack. That same insert also acts as a deflection plate, redirecting sharp debris entering at high speed to help protect the paper bag from punctures. Watch our setup video on YouTube to see how to position your lid for your preferred hand.

Your backpack lid needs to stand up to daily handling, repeated removal, and demanding cleaning environments. That’s why Mosquito lids are made from durable materials and backed by a lifetime warranty. We believe in the quality of what we build, and we stand behind it so you can keep cleaning with confidence for years to come.

Every Mosquito hose has a smooth interior lining, so there are no exposed inner grooves for dirt and debris to collect in. Our hoses also use the same material found in car wash hoses, giving them crush-proof durability for demanding everyday use.

The Smooth Glide Tool Kit pairs a traditional 2 piece S-bend wand with our Smooth Glide floor tool for easy movement across carpet. If you prefer a familiar back-and-forth cleaning motion, this setup is a great fit for your routine.
With additional tools for hard floors, upholstery, dusting, and crevices, it gives you the versatility to move from floor cleaning to furniture, corners, and other detailed areas throughout your home or workspace.

The Sidewinder Tool Kit is designed for a side-to-side sweeping motion, allowing you to stand comfortably upright as you clean. Its flexible tool connection helps the floor tool follow your movements, making it easy maneuver around and under furniture.
It’s a great choice if you prefer a flowing cleaning motion and want to reach along baseboards and edges without frequently repositioning yourself. Choose the Sidewinder if this style of movement feels more natural to you.

Powered by your vacuum’s airflow, its rotating brush roll agitates carpet fibers to help loosen embedded dirt and pick up stubborn pet hair, without requiring a separate electrical connection.
The double-swivel neck and soft wheels make it easy to maneuver as you clean. If your home or workspace has carpets and rugs that benefit from brushing action alongside suction, this kit is an excellent addition to your backpack setup.

Unlike an air-powered turbo brush, its rotating brush roll is driven by a dedicated electric motor, providing brushing action independently of your vacuum’s airflow.
The brush agitates carpet fibers to help loosen embedded dirt and lift hair for your vacuum to collect. It’s an excellent choice for homes and workspaces where carpet cleaning is a priority and you want active brushing alongside your backpack’s suction.
This electric setup requires a power connection to operate the brush.

Take your cleaning beyond the floor with the SpaceVac Wand Kit, designed to vacuum dust and debris from elevated, hard-to-reach areas while you work from ground level.
Its lightweight pole system and specialized attachments help you reach overhead surfaces, ledges, vents, and exposed pipework, reducing reliance on ladders for routine dust removal. If your cleaning includes high ceilings or areas a standard wand can’t reach, this kit helps extend the versatility of your backpack vacuum.

Our synthetic HEPA bag is designed to capture fine dust and debris while giving you the value of repeated use. Often called a “paper bag,” it’s made from durable synthetic material that allows it to be emptied and reused.
While its upfront price may be slightly higher than competing disposable bags, reusing it spreads that cost across multiple cleanings, helping lower your cost per use and reduce waste. How much you save depends on what you’re collecting and how well you maintain the bag.
Using the HEPA bag consistently also helps protect your investment. It captures debris before it reaches the remaining filters, helping keep dust away from the motor. Emptying the bag regularly and replacing it when worn or damaged helps maintain airflow and supports a longer machine life.
Our motors carry a 7-year warranty, but that doesn’t have to be the end of their working life. With proper bag use, filter maintenance, your Mosquito backpack can continue delivering dependable performance well beyond those seven years.

Built directly into the rotomolded body of your Mosquito backpack, the Pigtail Saver helps secure your extension cord and protect your vacuum’s pigtail from accidental pulling and strain.
When used correctly, this feature directs the force of an unexpected tug onto the extension cord rather than the pigtail connection. If your cord catches on furniture or gets pulled while you’re cleaning, the Pigtail Saver helps keep that strain from damaging the cord attached to your machine.
That distinction can save you time and money. An extension cord is typically less expensive and easier to replace, while a damaged pigtail can require a more costly repair and additional downtime.
Taking a moment to secure your extension cord in the Pigtail Saver before cleaning is a simple way to protect your backpack and help avoid unnecessary repairs.

Attached to the HEPA Dome Filter, the Motor Saver Plate helps keep the cloth and synthetic paper bag from being pulled directly against the filter as it fills with dirt and debris. Without that separation, the bag can cover the filter surface and restrict airflow.
The plate maintains space between the bag and filter, helping air continue flowing toward the motor. This airflow supports both dependable suction and motor cooling, helping reduce the heat buildup that can occur when airflow is restricted.
It’s a small feature with an important job: helping protect the motor that powers your cleaning. Combined with regular bag emptying and filter maintenance, the Motor Saver Plate helps keep your Mosquito backpack performing reliably for years to come.
